Cider Event – Fest of Ale – April 5 & 6, 2013

Penticton Fest of Ale

Friday, April 5 & Saturday, April 6 – 2013

Check it out my cider loving peeps! Fest-of-Ale is right around the corner. This annual craft beer event held in Penticton, BC will be one not to miss for sure now that Summerland Heritage Cider, Left Field Cider Co. and Growers will be attending.

Tuesday's Original

Fest-of-Ale has been synonymous with good times and great beverages in the Okanagan since 1995. Along with 3 ciders there will be a plethora of craft beer and beer companies such as, Tree Brewing, Phillips, Parallel 49, and Granville Island. Even our American Brothers & Sisters will be represented by Alpine Brewing and Port Townsend Brewing.

Along with beverages there will Food Vendors and Entertainment. The highlight entertainment for me would be Joe’s Garage a staple on the Vancouver Live Venue Scene and at the Roxy Vancouver.

TICKETS: $26.88 (includes taxes and venue fee) and can be purchased here.

LOOK OUT FOR: Summerland Heritage Cider will attending for their fist year. Last year they released their Tuesday’s Original. It’s an amazing English Style Off-Dry Cider. I gave it a 9/10. And If that wasn’t enough, Fest-of-Ale will be the first event that Left Field Cider Co. will be tasting their 2012 ciders at. If last year (their first year of production) was any example of things to come I would get your butt over to taste the cider from the folks from outta nowhere right away!

Left Field Cider Co.

Curious on what the ciders taste like? You can find some of my reviews below

  1. I hear ya…I’ve been talking to some of the other BC Cider Companies to suggest that they make their way out to an event like this as a litmus test for a purely-cider centric event. Fingers crossed there will be an event in the near future.

There is that is in Ontario and is a purely Cider, Country Music and BBQ. They have some decent cider out that way…See my earlier post on it for full details.
